Roxy received her B.A. in Dance and Philosophy from Kenyon College in May of 2016. After graduating she decided to move to New York to start a dance company with two experimental musicians. In the fall of 2016 she founded roxy + company alongside Ethan Primason and Dexter Dine. As a collaborative team they sought to create spaces for other emerging artists to present and discuss their work. They decided to curate and produce a festival called embodied spaces. These festivals (we are currently working on our second installment) are centered around the idea of inclusivity. We are trying to open up new spaces for artists and their collaborative teams.
Roxy currently works as the Education Administrative Assistant at Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX) and for Buglisi Dance Theater. Previously she has worked for Movement Research as the programming intern under Anna Adams Stark. She has also worked with Hadar Ahuvia and freelance for other choreographers in Brooklyn.
